USO San Diego is a private, non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the quality of life for San Diego's active-duty military and their families. Through private donations, USO San Diego is able to provide programs and services including free weekly homemade dinners, access to books, games and movies, computer labs, family events and ship homecomings.

Our Downtown and Neil Ash Airport centers are open 365-days a year and serve more than 140,000 patrons annually. Whether it's a quiet place to go for rest and relaxation, movies and refreshments or a friendly face, USO San Diego consistently delivers its special brand of service to the military -- being a true home away from home.

USO San Diego continues to offer support and entertainment to those who serve our nation with the same enthusiasm that it did at its opening in 1941.

The goal of USO San Diego is to extend a sense of comfort in an unfamiliar place to all active-duty military and their families. More than 100 volunteers give their time to assist in staffing both centers. These volunteers aid in ensuring American service men and women feel "at home" in San Diego, whether traveling or stationed here.

Our Downtown Center -- at the corner of 3rd and A Streets -- is open every day of the year from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. to give active-duty military personnel and their families their own 'private club' where they may watch television, play pool, email friends, read or just relax and hang out.

The 18,000-square foot, Downtown USO Center offers a complimentary Tuesday night dinner to active-duty military and their families, a cyber canteen with free Internet access, special holiday events, two big-screen televisions, great activities and helpful information about San Diego. It also features a spacious social hall for parties and meetings, available for use at no cost to the military.

Our Neil Ash Airport Center located at Lindbergh Field's Terminal #2 is the largest USO airport center in the world. It offers a friendly place for travelers to wait for a flight, unwind and have a snack, check email, watch television, get directions or transportation assistance to their duty station or other locations and get information on the area. It is also open every day of the year, from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.  The Airport USO Center also offers a cyber canteen with Internet access while extending a relaxing place to stay when traveling, complimentary coffee and pastries everyday and a helping hand for worn travelers.
